Matt Purcell is a Boise native and attended schools in the Boise School District. He is active in the local community and has served on several boards. Matt is passionate about education and the need to provide educational opportunities for all children. He is thrilled to be a part of Giraffe Laugh and is fully supportive of its role and mission in the Treasure Valley. In particular, Matt enjoys assisting refugees in the Boise area and uses his French skills in engaging with French-speaking refugees and immigrants.
Matt received his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University and later graduated from The College of William & Mary School of Law. Following several years practicing law in Massachusetts and New York, Matt returned home to Boise. He is an attorney at J.R. Simplot Company and manages a team of in-house attorneys and paralegals responsible for all transactional legal matters at Simplot and its global subsidiaries. He also occasionally teaches classes at the University of Idaho College of Law.
