- Can I schedule an ultrasound without a pregnancy test appointment?
Because there is a high demand for free ultrasounds in our area, we ask that clients first confirm their pregnancy with a positive test at our center.
We offer free pregnancy tests and, in many cases, we can schedule your ultrasound the same day.
- I'm considering abortion. Should I have an ultrasound?
If you're considering abortion, a free ultrasound is one of the most important first steps. It can give you the medical information you need before making a decision.
An ultrasound helps answer two important questions:
- How far along am I? Gestational age helps determine which abortion methods may be available and what to expect.
- Is the pregnancy developing? An ultrasound confirms whether the pregnancy is growing in the uterus. About 1 in 4 pregnancies end naturally, and some women don't realize they've miscarried until an ultrasound reveals it.
At Lifeline, we provide free ultrasounds so you can better understand your pregnancy and move forward with confidence.
- What does a limited ultrasound do or not do?
What a Limited Ultrasound Can Often Do:
Detect a fetal heartbeat
Estimate how far along you are (your due date)
Show if you're carrying more than one baby
Let you know if you need to seek immediate medical care
What a Limited Ultrasound at Lifeline Does Not Do:
Reveal the baby’s sex
Diagnose birth defects or health problems
Replace regular prenatal care from a doctor
- Why should I have an ultrasound through Lifeline?
Our free ultrasounds help determine how far along you are and whether your pregnancy is developing. Every appointment is confidential, and because our services are free, no insurance is required or billed.
As a community-supported nonprofit, our goal is simple: to provide the medical information and support you need to feel confident on your journey ahead.
If you're experiencing bleeding, spotting, or cramping, seek medical care right away. These symptoms could be signs of a miscarriage or another medical concern that should be evaluated by a healthcare provider.
