A qualified starting point
A designated contact reviews the request, available history and material risks, then confirms whether ALCO can accept the work, requires further discovery or should refer it to another specialist.
Bring us a specific problem or project and we will define what ALCO can responsibly own, provide a scoped estimate or rate basis and match the work with the appropriate technical resource, subject to availability. You pay only for approved work; continuous monitoring, guaranteed response targets and responsibility for the broader environment require a separate agreement.
In 2025, some long-distance client work meant leaving late, traveling overnight and charging along the way so technical help could be on site when it mattered.
That history reflects ALCO’s willingness to meet clients where the work is. Today, on-site visits are planned around safe travel, coordinated scheduling and the right technical resource for the job.

Ad Hoc / Break-Fix IT covers a defined incident, repair, change or project accepted case by case. We first establish the symptoms, affected systems, access, urgency and business impact, then confirm that ALCO has the appropriate capability and a responsible way to proceed. Our responsibility is limited to the approved work and time window; this is not continuous management of the surrounding environment.
A designated contact reviews the request, available history and material risks, then confirms whether ALCO can accept the work, requires further discovery or should refer it to another specialist.
You receive the proposed scope, assumptions, exclusions and either an estimate or a stated time-and-materials rate basis. Material changes are submitted for approval before additional work proceeds.
We record the changes made, validation performed, unresolved dependencies and recommended next steps, including the credentials or documentation needed for you or another provider to continue.
We review impact, history, access and immediate safety concerns. If diagnosis itself requires paid discovery, that boundary and rate are stated before the discovery begins.
The systems, task, schedule, estimate or rate, approval contact, backup expectations and stopping conditions are documented before changes are made.
Our team performs the approved work, checks the result with the customer and records what changed. Additional findings are documented as options requiring separate approval.
Tell us what is happening, what is affected, when it began and what access or documentation exists. We will be candid if the work is outside our capability or current availability.
We identify the approved task, assumptions, exclusions, schedule and estimate or rate basis, including who may authorize a material change in direction.
The appropriate technical resource completes the approved work as availability permits and records changes, findings and validation.
The engagement can close cleanly, continue under a separately approved scope or lead to a Managed IT proposal if ongoing responsibility would serve you better.
