Easy Reader figures from the published case study, three weeks after launch.
How it fits together.
Your team and your AI agent on one side, your audience on the other, ALCO in the middle.
WordPress, the editor you know
Writers and staff publish exactly as before. No page builder, no theme fights, no plugin pile.
Claude, ChatGPT or your own
Connect the agent you already use to the ALCO MCP server and tell it what you want changed.
API layer and MCP server
Content flows out over GraphQL. Instructions flow in over MCP with a scoped key, a staged preview and a log of every change. Nothing publishes without a human yes.
A hand-built front end, served from the edge
Designed in Figma, written by hand, cached at the edge. Fast on every phone, and it looks like nothing off the shelf.
Three parts. One site that wows.
Keep the editor your team knows. Get a front end built by hand. Let your AI do the busywork.
WordPress backend
A small, familiar WordPress that does one job: hold your content. Writers publish as before. It is not public, it is not slow, and it is not the thing visitors load.
API-connected front end
Everything the public sees is hand-built and fed over an API. Designed in Figma, no theme, no page builder. Static-first, edge-cached, fast on a three-year-old phone.
AI-editable through MCP
Your agent connects to the ALCO MCP server with a key scoped to your site. It can change copy, swap images, add sections, schedule posts and tune layouts. You approve, it ships.
Anything you say goes.
Real requests, in plain English. No tickets, no waiting for Tuesday.
- Swap the hero photo for the one from Saturday’s event
- Add a holiday-hours banner until January 2
- Write a post about our new location and schedule it for Monday
- Make the donate button bigger on phones
- Put this month’s sponsors in the footer
- Translate the services page into Spanish
- Change every “Contact us” to “Book a call”
- Show me what changed on the site this week
Bring your own AI.
BYOAI: the agent is yours, the site is yours, the guardrails are ours.
- 1
Connect
We issue a key scoped to your site and hand you the MCP endpoint. Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-capable agent. Two minutes.
- 2
Ask
Tell your agent what you want changed, in your words. It reads the site through the API and prepares the change.
- 3
Approve
Every change is staged with a preview and a diff. Nothing goes live until a person on your team says yes.
- 4
Live at the edge
On approval the front end rebuilds, the cache refreshes and the change is logged with who, what and when. Roll back any time.
Secure by design.
An AI with the keys to your website needs better locks, not fewer.
- Scoped keys per site and per agentOne key, one site, one set of permissions. Revoke it in a click.
- Staged, previewed, approvedAgents propose. Humans publish. Every change has a preview and a diff first.
- Full change logWho asked, what changed, when it went live. Roll back to any point.
- WordPress stays privateThe backend is not on the public internet. Visitors only ever touch the front end.
- Cloudflare Enterprise in frontEvery site and application ALCO hosts sits behind Cloudflare Enterprise: WAF, DDoS protection and the edge cache that makes it fast. Plus two-step sign-in on the client area and backups you can restore from.
- One accountable teamALCO builds it, hosts it, watches it and answers the phone. Why ALCO.

Questions people ask.
Do we lose WordPress?
No. Your team keeps the editor they know. WordPress becomes a private backend that holds content; the public site is a separate, hand-built front end that reads from it.
Which AI can we use?
Any agent that speaks MCP, the open Model Context Protocol. Claude and ChatGPT both do. So does Codex and a growing list of others. You bring the subscription you already have.
Can the AI break our site?
It cannot publish. Agents propose changes into a staged preview; a person on your team approves them. Every change is logged and reversible, and the backend is never exposed to the public.
What about our existing site?
If it is WordPress, we keep your content and rebuild the front end. If it is something else, we migrate the content in. Easy Reader News moved from a failing WordPress monolith without losing a story.
What does it cost?
A build is quoted in writing after a short call, then the site runs on an ALCO hosting plan with the MCP server, monitoring, backups and the help desk included. Book a demo and we will show you yours.
