- Nightly
- backups of every company file
- Any device
- Windows, Mac, tablet, remote
- Multi-user
- your team and your accountant at once
- Ours
- ALCO-owned servers, not a reseller's cloud
Everything around the company file.
- 01
A hosted desktop
QuickBooks Desktop runs on a Windows server ALCO owns and operates. You sign in and it is there, with your printers, your PDFs and your add-ons.
- 02
Multi-user, done right
The company file and the database server sit together, so several people can work in it at once without the lock-ups a shared office PC gets.
- 03
Nightly backups
Every company file is backed up every night and kept off the server too. Restoring a file is a help desk request, not a project.
- 04
Access from anywhere
Office, home, your accountant's office, a tablet on the road. Two-step sign-in on every account.
- 05
Updates and maintenance
QuickBooks updates, Windows patching, server monitoring and restarts happen in a window you agree to.
- 06
Your license, your file
You keep your QuickBooks license and own your data. If you ever leave, you get the company file and the backups.
Moving in takes an afternoon.
- 1
Review
Which QuickBooks edition and year, how many users, which add-ons and printers, who needs access.
- 2
Build the server
A dedicated environment on ALCO infrastructure, sized for your file and your users.
- 3
Move the file
We copy the company file, verify it opens cleanly, connect users and test printing and PDFs.
- 4
Run it
Backups, updates and monitoring from then on. Questions go to the help desk.
A good fit when...
QuickBooks lives on one aging PC
And the whole business stops if that PC does.
Two people need it at once
The bookkeeper, the owner and the accountant keep waiting for each other.
You are not ready for QuickBooks Online
Desktop does what you need. You just want it safe and reachable.
Your accountant wants in
Give them their own login instead of emailing a backup every quarter.
Questions people ask.
Is this QuickBooks Online?
No. It is the desktop edition you already own, running on a server ALCO hosts. The screens and the workflow stay the same.
Do we need to buy a new license?
You bring your existing QuickBooks Desktop license. If it needs renewing or more seats, we can help you sort that with Intuit.
Where is the server?
On ALCO's own infrastructure, operated by ALCO engineers, behind Cloudflare. It is not a third-party reseller cloud.
Can we use it from a Mac?
Yes. The hosted desktop opens from Windows, macOS, iPad and most browsers.
What happens if the server has a problem?
It is monitored around the clock. The help desk responds, and your file is restorable from last night's backup at worst.
