What is included.
What ALCO does for you under Drupal hosting, in plain terms.
Updates the Drupal way
Composer-managed core and contrib, applied on a schedule, with database updates run and the cache cleared. Security advisories are applied the day they are published.
PHP and database tuned for Drupal
PHP-FPM, OPcache, a maintained MariaDB and the memory Drupal actually needs. Views and large content models stay quick.
Cloudflare Enterprise in front
Edge cache for anonymous traffic, firewall and bot rules, DDoS protection. Logged-in editors bypass the cache automatically.
Staging and deployment
A staging copy for module and theme work, with config export and import done properly between environments.
Nightly backups
Files and database every night, off the server, with restores on request.
Monitoring every minute
Checked from outside the network every minute, with cron and queue health watched too.
Migrations from Drupal 7 and others
Still on Drupal 7 or an older version? We plan and run the migration to a supported release.
People who answer
Editors and developers call one number and talk to someone who knows what a Views cache is.
How it works.
Four steps, each one written down as we go.
- 1
Scope
We look at what you run today, how much traffic and data it carries, and who needs access. You get a written plan and price before anything moves.
- 2
Build
We stand up Drupal on the ALCO server, in its own isolated environment, with Cloudflare Enterprise, backups and monitoring wired in from day one.
- 3
Move
Existing data, users and settings are migrated and checked, DNS is switched in a window you approve, and the old system stays available until you sign off.
- 4
Run it
From then on ALCO applies updates, watches the board, restores from backup when asked and answers the calls.
Who this is for.
Businesses that want it run, not just rented
A server somewhere is easy. Someone who updates it, backs it up, watches it and picks up the phone is the part you are buying.
Teams that have outgrown shared hosting
When the shared plan is slow, the control panel is a mystery and support is a chat bot, a managed instance on the ALCO server is the next step.
Anyone who wants their data in one accountable place
Your instance, your data, on infrastructure ALCO owns and operates in Idaho, behind Cloudflare Enterprise.
Questions people ask.
We are still on Drupal 7. Can you help?
Yes. Drupal 7 is past end of life. We assess the site and content model, plan the migration to a current release, and run it on a staging copy before anything goes live.
Do you support Drupal developers we already use?
Yes. Your developers get a staging environment, deployment access and someone to talk to about the server. We host and run it; they build on it.
How fast are security updates applied?
Drupal security advisories are applied the day they are published, on staging first when the change is large, then production.
Can it sit behind our own domain and certificate?
Yes. Your domain, your DNS in your name, certificates renewed automatically.
