What is included.
What ALCO does for you under custom application hosting, in plain terms.
Any container, deployed properly
Node, Python, PHP, Go, .NET, Java or an off-the-shelf image. Each app gets its own isolated environment, domain, certificate and resource limits.
Databases that are maintained
PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB, Redis and object storage, provisioned beside the app, backed up nightly and actually tuned.
Deploys from your repository
Push to GitLab or GitHub and a pipeline builds and deploys, with rollbacks when a release is bad.
Cloudflare Enterprise in front
Firewall, bot rules, DDoS protection and an edge cache for static assets, with WebSockets and long requests handled.
Monitoring and logs
Checked every minute from outside, with container health, resource use and logs watched inside.
Open-source tools on request
Uptime Kuma, Metabase, Gitea, Home Assistant for the office, a booking system, a wiki: if it has a container image, ask.
Built by ALCO when you need it
Need the app written too? The developer services team builds, documents and hosts it.
People who answer
Your developers and your users call the same number.
How it works.
Four steps, each one written down as we go.
- 1
Scope
What the app is, what it needs (database, storage, memory, queues), who uses it and how it gets deployed. Written plan and price first.
- 2
Build
The environment, databases, domain, certificate, Cloudflare and backups go up on the ALCO server, with a pipeline from your repository.
- 3
Move
Data is migrated, the app is checked with you on a staging URL, and DNS is switched in a window you approve.
- 4
Run it
ALCO watches it, patches the host, backs it up, and answers the calls.
Who this is for.
Businesses that want it run, not just rented
A server somewhere is easy. Someone who updates it, backs it up, watches it and picks up the phone is the part you are buying.
Teams that have outgrown shared hosting
When the shared plan is slow, the control panel is a mystery and support is a chat bot, a managed instance on the ALCO server is the next step.
Anyone who wants their data in one accountable place
Your instance, your data, on infrastructure ALCO owns and operates in Idaho, behind Cloudflare Enterprise.
Questions people ask.
What can you not host?
Anything that needs hardware we do not have, anything illegal, and anything we cannot keep secure. We will say so up front.
Do we get root access?
You get access to your application, database and deploys. The host is run by ALCO so that backups, patches and isolation stay intact.
Can it reach our office network?
Yes, with a site-to-site connection where the app needs internal systems.
How is it priced?
By the resources the app needs and the care it gets, quoted in writing after we see what it is.
