People who answer
Your developers call the same number as everyone else and reach someone who knows Git.
How it works.
Four steps, each one written down as we go.
- 1
Scope
We look at what you run today, how much traffic and data it carries, and who needs access. You get a written plan and price before anything moves.
- 2
Build
We stand up GitLab on the ALCO server, in its own isolated environment, with Cloudflare Enterprise, backups and monitoring wired in from day one.
- 3
Move
Existing data, users and settings are migrated and checked, DNS is switched in a window you approve, and the old system stays available until you sign off.
- 4
Run it
From then on ALCO applies updates, watches the board, restores from backup when asked and answers the calls.
Who this is for.
Businesses that want it run, not just rented
A server somewhere is easy. Someone who updates it, backs it up, watches it and picks up the phone is the part you are buying.
Teams that have outgrown shared hosting
When the shared plan is slow, the control panel is a mystery and support is a chat bot, a managed instance on the ALCO server is the next step.
Anyone who wants their data in one accountable place
Your instance, your data, on infrastructure ALCO owns and operates in Idaho, behind Cloudflare Enterprise.
Questions people ask.
Why not GitHub or gitlab.com?
Many teams are fine there. Self-managed GitLab is for code that must stay on your own infrastructure, or for CI that needs to reach internal systems.
Can you migrate from GitHub, Bitbucket or an old server?
Yes, with history, issues and users where the source allows.
Which edition?
GitLab Community Edition by default. Enterprise features need a licence from GitLab, which we can run for you.
- The client area
