What is included.
What ALCO does for you under Ghost hosting, in plain terms.
Ghost, kept current
Ghost releases applied on a schedule with the theme checked afterwards.
Newsletters that arrive
Bulk email through an authenticated provider with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set, so issues reach inboxes instead of spam.
Members and paid subscriptions
Stripe connected and watched, so paid tiers, sign-ups and cancellations just work.
Cloudflare Enterprise in front
Edge cache for public pages, firewall and DDoS protection, member areas left uncached.
Nightly backups
Content, members and settings every night, off the server.
A newsroom we have built for
Easy Reader News runs on ALCO. Publishing deadlines are not new to us.
People who answer
Editors call one number.
How it works.
Four steps, each one written down as we go.
- 1
Scope
We look at what you run today, how much traffic and data it carries, and who needs access. You get a written plan and price before anything moves.
- 2
Build
We stand up Ghost on the ALCO server, in its own isolated environment, with Cloudflare Enterprise, backups and monitoring wired in from day one.
- 3
Move
Existing data, users and settings are migrated and checked, DNS is switched in a window you approve, and the old system stays available until you sign off.
- 4
Run it
From then on ALCO applies updates, watches the board, restores from backup when asked and answers the calls.
Who this is for.
Businesses that want it run, not just rented
A server somewhere is easy. Someone who updates it, backs it up, watches it and picks up the phone is the part you are buying.
Teams that have outgrown shared hosting
When the shared plan is slow, the control panel is a mystery and support is a chat bot, a managed instance on the ALCO server is the next step.
Anyone who wants their data in one accountable place
Your instance, your data, on infrastructure ALCO owns and operates in Idaho, behind Cloudflare Enterprise.
Questions people ask.
Can you move us from Ghost(Pro), Substack or WordPress?
Yes. Content and members are imported to a staging copy, checked, then the domain is switched.
Do we own our subscriber list?
Yes. It lives in your Ghost database on the ALCO server and in backups you can ask for.
Who sends the email?
Ghost sends newsletters through an authenticated email provider we configure for your domain.
- The client area
