What Stripe is.
Stripe is payment infrastructure for the internet: cards, bank payments, subscriptions, invoices and the compliance that comes with holding card data.
Businesses use it because the card number goes to Stripe and nowhere else. The merchant gets paid without ever becoming a target.

Our invoices and payments
ALCO invoices are issued and paid through Stripe. The Pay button in myALCO and on our payments page is Stripe checkout; a saved card or bank account lives with Stripe, not with us.

Paywalls and subscriptions for clients
Easy Reader News runs its reader subscriptions on Stripe inside the site we built. The publisher's money goes to the publisher's own Stripe account.

Storefronts and checkout
When a client site sells something, Stripe is the checkout we reach for. Webhooks tell the site what was paid so orders and access update themselves.

ALCO is a Stripe customer for its own billing and a developer that builds on Stripe's API for clients. We claim no Stripe partner tier or certification.

Does ALCO store my card?
No. A saved payment method lives with Stripe. ALCO sees the last four digits and the expiry, nothing more.
Can you add a paywall or subscriptions to our site?
Yes. That is exactly what we built for Easy Reader News. Pricing, free articles, renewals and cancellations are all configurable.
Who gets paid when you build our checkout?
You do, straight into your own Stripe account. ALCO never sits in the money flow.
